Olay Commercials Garner Millions of Views, Air on MTV VMA's

Julia and her writing partner Noel Carey have been writing a series of musical commercials for Olay. Olay's first video, "I Can't Wait To Wash My Face The Musical" has been watched over ten million times on YouTube, and aired on the MTV VMA's. Check it out here!

"Is Anyone Alive Out There?" with Audible Theatre

Julia and Noel Carey recently debuted their new comedy, Is Anyone Alive Out There? exclusively with Audible Theatre. It played a limited off-broadway run at the Minetta Lane Theatre in NYC, with special guests Chris Gethard, Heléne Yorke, and Gilbert Gottfried. Is Anyone Alive Out There? will be available to stream on Audible soon!

Julia had the chance to guest star in her pal Sydney Nikols' hilarious new show for Comedy Central digital, alongside Maria Bamford and Kerri Kinney. She played a stalker appropriately named Julia.

Brooklyn Sound Wins Big at the New York Television Festival

After an exciting and busy week at the 2016 New York Television Festival, Brooklyn Sound was honored with three awards, including a Best Actress (Comedy) Win for Julia, and an Official Development Deal with Comedy Central!

Julia's comedy show Ruby Manger Live, in which she plays a 75 year old Broadway and film legend on the brink of death, will play a three show run at Feinstein's/54 Below, this August (14, 28), and September 25.

The Bunny Hole

Julia adventured to the small town of Pahrump, Nevada to film a new comedy series The Bunny Hole, a project that she co-starred in and helped develop alongside the show’s creator Ken Davenport. Similar in style to Reno 911, the show is an absurd comedy about a struggling brothel trying to stay afloat.

On May 1st at 54 Below, Julia makes her solo show debut as Ruby Manger, an aged broadway diva who makes her return to the New York Stage. Ruby will re-visit her greatest career highlights and lowlights, from winning her first Tony award for her role as Trudy the blind ghost, to her not-so-secret love affairs, and finally to her life as a recovering food addict (bagels mostly). It will be a ridiculous evening with many laughs and special guests, including Julia Murney ( Wicked, The Wild Party ) as herself, and Andrew Kober ( Les Miserables, Hair ) as Jean Dijon, and Noel Carey as Randy Newman. The show is created and written by Mattison including some original songs from "hit broadway musicals" (that never really existed).

"How To Live Like A Lady" Gets a Development Deal with MTV!

"How To Live Like A Lady", an independent pilot co-created by and starring Julia and her friend/collaborator/writer Sydney Nikols, was selected as a finalist in this years' New York Television Festival. Through the festival, they met with a number of networks, and were offered a development deal with MTV! Stay tuned for more info. For now, check out the trailer!

Recent Concerts and Readings: Hit List at 54 Below, Make Me Bad, RSO Fest, and more!

Julia has been busy working on some exciting projects recently, including Hit List at 54 Below with SMASH stars Krysta Rodriguez, Jeremy Jordan, and Andy Mientus. She also starred as serial killer Daisy Harris, in an exciting reading of the Alex Brightman/Drew Gasparini musical Make Me Bad. She performed in all three of Ryan Scott Oliver's incredible shows at 54 Below as part of RSO fest, and later traveled with Ryan to Key West to perform a song from his new show We Foxes at the Broadway Across America conference.

Julia recently flew to LA to film a segment for Jimmy Kimmel Live! In promotion with Holiday Inn, Julia filmed a music video/integrated commercial with Guillermo Rodriguez, known for being Jimmy's sidekick/security guard on the show. It was a total blast!

Julia recently filmed three commercials for Holiday Inn, in which she improvised comedy jingles with her guitar based on user reviews. The spots are called "Change Your View" and they begin airing online in October 2013.

Julia filmed an episode of the upcoming Fox comedy, "Us & Them," starring Alexis Biedel, Jason Ritter, Michael Ian Black, and many more in an amazing cast. The show is hilarious and slated to air in 2014.

Julia recently had the honor of playing Miss Potter/Peter Pan in a recent workshop of the upcoming musical "Finding Neverland" directed by Diane Paulus and produced by Harvey Weinstein. The workshop featured an incredible lineup of talent, led by Brian D'Arcy James, Jason Alexander, and Laura Michelle Kelly.

Julia made her Broadway debut in GODSPELL at The Circle in The Square theater in October, and opened the show on November 7th, 2011.
